AKRON, OHIO – The Akron Aviators are pleased to announce a new partnership with Spark by Hilton Akron Fairlawn, which will serve as the team's official and preferred hotel partner.
The partnership will provide accommodations for visiting teams, fans, and other guests traveling to the Akron area throughout the season. With 120 rooms, complimentary breakfast, a fitness center, and convenient amenities, Spark by Hilton offers a welcoming option for those visiting the region.
Located in Fairlawn, the hotel underwent a full renovation before officially reopening on May 1, 2026. The property also shares a building with Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse and offers convenient access to local businesses, Summit Mall, and major highways.
The partnership comes as the Aviators prepare to host multiple international basketball teams this season. Establishing a relationship with a local hospitality provider is an important part of the organization's continued efforts to improve the experience for visiting teams and guests.
“This year we’ll be hosting multiple international teams and want to ensure that we continue to provide the best hospitality possible. Working with Valentina and her team, I know Spark is the ideal partner for the Aviators,” says Aviators owner, Brian “Essince” Collins.
Valentina Overend, Director of Sales for Spark by Hilton Akron Fairlawn, also expressed her excitement about the partnership.
“We’re proud to be the official hotel partner of the Akron Aviators. Hosting their international players this season is a perfect fit for us, because we love supporting local teams and making visitors feel at home in Akron.”
In addition to providing accommodations for international opponents and traveling fans, Spark by Hilton Akron Fairlawn is offering a special discounted room rate for Akron Aviators fans. The offer gives supporters an opportunity to enjoy convenient accommodations while supporting the team throughout the season.
The Akron Aviators look forward to working with Valentina Overend and the entire Spark by Hilton team to welcome visitors to the community and strengthen the organization's local business relationships.
